Description
A clapperboard is a tool in the film industry to synchronize the image and sound of a film and to indicate which scene it is being recorded.
The camera clapper indicates which camera angle, which scene and which take it. It also indicates which production is involved and which director is involved. When the clapper is closed, this can be seen on the image and a tapping sound can be heard in the sound, which allows the editor to determine whether the sound is synchronized or not.
