Product Description
This WP-DC49 Waterproof Case from Canon is an underwater housing for PowerShot SX720 / SX280 HS digital camera. It features a depth rating of 131' and closes via a locking latch on the side. The case is constructed from durable, clear polycarbonate and ABS plastic, and has a built-in flat glass lens port with a two-sided anti-reflective coating. Mechanical controls provide easy access to virtually all photographic functions, including shutter, record start/stop, function set, control/mode dial, manual focus, flash, exposure compensation, white balance adjustment, display, menu and delete.
The housing is configured with a cold shoe for mounting accessories, such as an external flash or video light. The optional Waterproof Case Weight WW-DC1 makes the case more neutrally buoyant for easier handling beneath the surface. It's recommended that you use 2 weights in both fresh and salt water. The camera's built-in flash is usable within the housing, and a supplied acrylic flash diffusion plate softens the light of the flash to prevent harsh light from causing glare and hard shadows. Additionally, the housing includes an optical cable fastener for the attachment of an optional external flash.
